Plaster & Stucco Admixes
USG Plaster Retarders slow down the chemical crystal formation that causes gypsum plaster to set or harden, allowing more time to complete each job. They are easy to use, dispersing in water prior to adding plaster.
MB-AE™ 90 air-entraining admixture is for use in Portland Cement mixtures. MB-AE 9 improves plasticity and workability, while reducing permeability and increasing water tightness.
Pozzolith® 200 N is a ready-to-use, liquid admixture is used for reducing water content required for a given workability. Several of the attributes it develops in mixes are increased compressive and flexural strength plus improved workability. 200 N is a normal range water reducer. For use in Portland Cement mixtures.
Merlex Water Block Handy-Paks are specially formulated admix packets designed to be added to Merlex Exterior Stucco to achieve a water-repellent finish for above grade application.
Fibercast 500, formerly Harbourite® micro-reinforcement system for concrete, precast and stucco. Made from 100 percent virgin homopolymer alkali resistant polypropylene fibers. Usage results in reduced plastic shrinkage cracking in addition to reduced water migration and damage from freeze/thaw cycling.
Plaster & Stucco Bonding Agents
Bonds new plaster to any structurally sound INTERIOR surface. Required for plaster applications over cement board and monolithic concrete. Intended for Interior use only.
Plaster-Weld® bonds new plaster to any clean, structurally sound, interior surface. The original chemical plaster bonding agent is a patented formulation incorporating polyvinyl acetate homopolymer. Intended for Interior use only.
The original chemical concrete bonding agent, Weld-Crete® incorporates polyvinyl acetate homopolymer in a patented formulation. Bonds new concrete, stucco, tile setting beds and terrazzo to any structurally sound surface, interior or exterior.
Drywall Joint Compound
BEADEX Liteline All Purpose Taping Compound, is a high-performance, ready-mixed joint compound for embedding paper tape. It weights up to 35-percent less than conventional taping compounds
BEADEX Silver Set lightweight setting-type joint compounds are chemically-setting powder compounds that permit same-day joint finishing and next-day decoration of drywall interiors. Salmon Bay carries Silver Set 20 & 90.
SHEETROCK Brand DURABOND setting-type joint compounds are chemically-setting powder compounds that permit same-day joint finishing and next-day decoration of drywall interiors and exterior soffits. They provide a hard, plaster-like surface when dry and are virtually unaffected by humidity. Salmon Bay stocks Durabond 90.
Butt Strips (Furring Shims)
Fortifiber’s economic Furring Strips will fine-tune the job in nothing flat, correcting bowed studs and other common framing issues.
Dry Wall Tape
BEADEX drywall joint tape is a strong, cross-fibered tape designed for use with USG Joint Compounds to reinforce joints and corners in gypsum drywall interiors. It is also recommended for joint treatment in veneer finish systems.
