Reinforcing
Sika Fibermesh polypropylene fibers add tremendous performance enhancements to traditional flatwork concrete. Fibers mixed into concrete (placed horizontally) require no minimum amount of cover and are always positioned in compliance with codes, due to their 3-dimension distribution throughout the concrete mix. Additional benefits include; reduced plastic shrinkage cracking, improved residual strength, impact, shatter and abrasion resistance, reduced water migration and damage from freeze/thaw. Salmon Bay supplies: Fibermesh 150 for architectural concrete placements; Fibermesh 300 as an alternate for secondary concrete reinforcement and Novomesh 850 which is an approved replacement for traditional concrete flatwork reinforcement.
